The Romulan plots against the Federation are many , including using synths to attack Mars . This administer a serious moral and spiritual shock to the Federation . While over the age the Federation has made allies of old uncongenial races , such as the Klingons , the Cardassians and the Ferengi , the Romulans stay unfaltering in their hate of the organization .

The Romulans ' latest strategy may be their bad yet . The Tzenkethi are a singular - minded coinage inflexible in their thought process , and the Romulans have used this to their vantage . The Tzenkethi share a notion that other mintage are below them , and employ sheer brute strength in push their resister . This quality no doubt endear them to the Romulans , who perhaps see kindred spirits . Yet the Romulans witness more . They see an chance to finish off the hat Federation , and take the Klingons and the Cardassians down with them .
